Letter from REMINDER PUBLICATIONS

Coaches and managers,

As you may or may not be aware, Reminder Publications, which puts out three editions of The Reminder as well as the Chicopee Herald, has expanded its sports coverage. As the person in charge of overseeing sports coverage, this summer I will be doing as much as I can to cover Tri-County baseball. However, in addition to sports, I also cover news for four towns and the largest neighborhood in Springfield, therefore, I am looking for your help.

In order to get as much recognition for teams and athletes as possible, I am asking teams to report scores and any team updates to me if I am not able to be there so they can be added into a weekly sports roundup highlighting top performances and games from the past week. You can call me at 525-3247 ext. 123 (leave a message if I don't pick up) or email me at this address.

Reminder Publications' circulation is split into two zones - Zone A and Zone B. Zone A encompasses East Longmeadow, Longmeadow, Wilbraham, Hampden and Sixteen Acres. It is also delivered to Ludlow. The paper is laid out on Friday, printed over the weekend and distributed on Monday. Therefore all reports should be made by Thursday night for publication.

Zone B encompasses three papers - Reminder Springfield, Reminder MetroWest and the Chicopee Herald - covering Chicopee, Holyoke, Granby, South Hadley, Westfield, West Springfield, Southwick, Agawam and Springfield. Those papers are laid out Monday and distributed on Wednesday. Therefore all reports should be made by Sunday night for publication.

Any late submissions will not be added.

Also, if coaches could email or fax team rosters for spelling accuracy, it would be much appreciated.

Do not hesitate to call me or email me with a story idea, either. I am always receptive to suggestions.

Some of you have already been helpful in emailing schedules and such and I appreciate it. This is just one more way to ensure your team's successes are reported.

Also, feel free to pass this information along to any other coaches you may know, regardless of sport, age/ability level.

Thank you.

Chris Maza
